Rhinoplasty/Nasal Refinement
NASAL REFINEMENT has become the second most popular operation in plastic surgery after liposuction.
Nasal surgery is best postponed until after the teenage growth spurt is complete, at about age sixteen for boys and for girls, two to three years after puberty. Until then, the nose may continue to grow, compromising the results of any corrective surgery. Breathing problems should be discussed in the initial consultation to determine whether work on the nasal septum or other internal structures should be performed at the same time as the refinement procedure.
RHINOPLASTY is performed at an out-patient surgery center under general anesthesia. Patients typically experience 1 to 2 weeks of social downtime. The final result of the RHINOPLASTY is often most evident six months to one year post surgery.
